I’m not like other girls (Central, 2008)

African in Hong Kong (Lan Kwai Fong, 2008)

Begging (Causeway Bay, 2008)

Running in the rain (Tsim Sha Tsui, 2008)

Stairway (Central, 2008)

Opposite (Wan Chai, 2008)

He was standing there when I saw him from the top of bridge in Wan Chai. Look like he’s waiting somebody. Sometimes he took steps, but then go back to his position. And actually I focus to shot on him when the woman pass by. And suddenly the man also took his steps.
Old Man (Wan Chai, 2008)

He’s a beggar. You’ll see him if you walk on the bridge in Wan Chai, to or from Wan Chai pier. After I took this shot, about 3 months later, I met him in Wan Chai market. Not as a beggar, but look like a man who back to home from his work. I want to say ‘hi’ at that time, but he was in hurry. I think I’ll always remember his face in my heart.
On our way (Central, 2008)

Let me tell you my little secret. I love “Brie” (the picture is captured by Henri Cartier Bresson in 1968) so much. I saw it when I was 17 years old. Since that, I obsessed to anything in related with footpath or alleyway. “Brie” has changed my perspective to see the world. I didn’t believe in destination anymore. The most important things in the world is process itself, not achievement. This picture that I took in Central, next to Legislative Council building, is one of my remembering to “Brie”.
Woman (Causeway Bay, 2008)

I was on the way to home when I saw the woman, standing there in a tram, next to window, looking outside, thinking of something or nothing. I took some shots of her and just stop when she look at me. When I saw the LCD then, I noticed that the picture told me about “feminism”, “capitalism”, “women as commodities”, and “class struggle”. You must think that I’m so absurd. But actually that’s what cross in my mind.
October Rain (Tsim Sha Tsui, 2008)

It’s October 2008 when I came to Tsim Sha Tsui, waiting the rain and taking snapshots. Then been so sentimental just because got this shot. No reason. Only something stupid.
