None to accompany me (Causeway Bay, 2008)

None to accompany me

I remember a novel of Nadine Gordimer when I decided to put the title for this picture. And also, I remember a lot of memories behind how i could get this novel in my hand. It’s all about loneliness and the strange feelings.

Opposite

He was standing there when I saw him from the top of bridge in Wan Chai.  Look like he’s waiting somebody. Sometimes he took steps, but then go back to his position. And actually I focus to shot on him when the woman pass by. And suddenly the man also took his steps.

Woman (Causeway Bay, 2008)

woman

I was on the way to home when I saw the woman, standing there in  a tram, next to window, looking outside, thinking of  something or nothing. I took  some shots of her and just stop when she look at me.  When I saw the LCD then,  I noticed that the picture told me about “feminism”, “capitalism”,  “women as commodities”, and “class struggle”.  You must think that I’m so  absurd. But  actually  that’s what cross in my mind.
